Karly's love for music and vocal performing began at an early age. At sixteen Karly has taken her vocal talent to the next level studying classic and contemporary country music, and creating her own style. Karly has a gift for "belting" out challenging tunes with an extensive range. Karly's style, vocal strength, pitch and tone shine through on her debut CD, KARLY, available now at thehiddenart.com. The debut CD showcases 6 incredible fresh songs recorded in Nashville, all defining that contemporary country feel Karly has developed as her own.
Karly's music style is "wholesome and true" country that rocks. Her influence comes from other contemporary country artists like LeAnn Rhimes, Shania Twain, Rascal Flats, and Faith Hill. Contemporary Christian music like Mercy Me, has inspired her faith and her style of music as well. Karly hopes to see her music crossover someday, and use her talents like Josh Turner and so many other country artists, to help others focus on the need for religion in their life. Karly's music helps her to stay focused on her goals. She would love to attend LSU and earn her degree in Animal Science, and is learning quickly to balance school, sessions, and other obligations so that those dreams become her reality.
Karly was surrounded by talent to produce her unique sound for the debut CD. Music City Demos lead the production of the record, showcasing the visionary talents of owner and hot guitar picker, Martin Young!! Ricky Cobble worked his magic as the sound engineer, along with the dedicated assistance of Rory Rositas, Staff Engineer at Omni Sound Studios. Many master musicians joined us for the Omni Sound Studios recording session like fiddle/mandolin player Aubrey Haynie, Dobro player, and 2007 International Bluegrass Dobro Player of the Year Nominee Randy Kohrs, Steel Guitar player and Steel Player of the Year 2006, Mike Johnson, Acoustic Guitar player Pat McGrath, Electric Guitar player Kelly Back, Bass Guitar player Dave Francis, Keyboard/Piano/Organ player, Michael Rojas, and Drummer Dennis Holt. Great songwriters contributed their lyrics too, like Diona Devincenzie and Carol Hashe-Rainone, Jen Waters, and Rodney Eubanks. Karly featured the two best background vocals around, with vocal arranging genius Rodney Ingle, and BGV, Lori Stegner. Karly's striking photos are the work of Lisa Jane at Eden Studios in the Heights, Houston Texas.
